Controversial Equalizer
Elfsborg's sole goal came from Momoh Kamara in the 63rd minute, but the build-up raised eyebrows. BP captain Simon Strand was left puzzled after the final whistle. "I don't really see what happens but when I turn around and see the ball going into an open goal you understand that something has happened," Strand told reporters. The goal followed an incident where goalkeeper Leo Cavallius was injured in a challenge with Leo Östman and had to be substituted.
Debutant's Nightmare
Davor Blazevic took over between the posts, but it was another new face who found himself in the spotlight. Defender Viggo Elfström, the 19-year-old signed from FC Arlanda who made his starting debut, became the unfortunate hero in stoppage time. Despite this strange own goal, the victory was secure thanks to an early strike from Anton Kurochkin in just the second minute.
